Edinburgh
Our Edinburgh course runs from the beautiful, central
space, Gathering Essence, on Broughton Street Lane.

Edinburgh Training is run by Marit Akintewe and Jen Strachan.
Assistant Lianne Stewart.
With guest teachers: Julie Hanson, Sue Woodd, Lucie Potter, Jane Blundell, Claire Davidson, and Carla Webster.
Ashtanga is taught by Joanne Ewan.
Marit Akintewe is a founding director of Seasonal Yoga, creator of a 4 level breath program for yoga teachers, leader of advanced philosophy and meditation courses, founder of Seasonal Yin, and has been teaching full time since 2004. She is a hugely experienced teacher, with a truly unusual background as a yogi, with long periods of study and practice/retreat under Swami Vivekananda and Sahajananda. Marit teaches meditation, pranayama, asana, and philosophy with a passion and understanding which exemplifies the learning and practice she has undertaken. Her students often remark that her ability to make difficult concepts, and ancient teachings, come alive and relevant, changes them forever. A mum of 2, balancing real life demands has given her both the perspective of the seeker (long periods of time in solitude) and the house holder.
Jen Strachan is a true inspiration, a dance teacher (at collage level) and long term yoga teacher, she has been bringing anatomy to life with her simple and real style of teaching. Her classes are inclusive and open to every body.
Each module Marit and Jen shall be supported by Lianne Stewart, and joined by Joanne Ewan to teach the ashtanga. Most modules also bring another member of the Seasonal Yoga team to give you great exposure different perspectives and energies.
In Edinburgh we are particularly keen on creating community and connection, and supporting your happiness through Yoga. We are interested in whether you are ready to commit to the year of change and study. If you have been practicing Yoga for 2 years and especially if your interest has moved off the mat to breath, books, workshops, and meditation, we would love to hear from you.
For more information, please contact Marit directly at maritakintewe@gmail. com or fill in the enquiry form below, and state Edinburgh as your area for study, or contact us directly at apply@seasonalyoga.net.
